It is possible preserve maximum amount  of dental structure using dental adhesives.

Conservative dentistry can be “direct” when  is possible to rebuild tooth without using laboratory manufactured items.
So we can repair a tooth in only one session using materials with the same color of the original tooth.

When we have to repair  big portion of dental structure or when we want to radically change  tooth shape or  tooth color we have to use indirect procedures or prosthetic dentistry (inlay, onlay, crowns).
